Step 1: Initial Inquiry
The franchising process begins when you reach out to us for information and then moves on to the initial inquiry form. It’s exactly what it sounds like. The form is what you first fill out to show you are interested in owning one of our locally-sourced restaurants. It’s the jumping-off point for you and your franchising journey.
Step 2: Introductory Call with Franchise Director
We have a talented, dedicated team of experts at B.GOOD that has been instrumental in our growth and expansion into the franchising field. Our franchise director knows a thing or two about how to help build successful fast-casual franchises and he will share his knowledge with you so you can help get the ball rolling as you begin to learn more about opening a fast-casual franchise with B.GOOD.
Step 3: Submit Franchise Application
Once you get to know us, and we get to know you, we will send you a franchise application for you to submit. The application will touch on many different things including asking about your financial situation and how much liquid capital you have available. Beyond that, the application will ask about your past from your professional experience, in and out of the restaurant field, your educational career, and more.
We want to make sure that you are a great fit for us and our franchising model. Once we’ve received your franchise application, and approve it, we will help guide you down the path toward becoming a franchisee and owning one of our locally-sourced restaurants.
Step 4: Follow-up Call
Once your franchise application has been approved, we’ll schedule another call to answer any additional questions you may have and go over what it takes to successfully run a fast-casual franchise.
Step 5: Receive Franchise Disclosure Document for Review
What is the franchise disclosure document, or FDD? Simply put, the franchise disclosure document is a legal document that we will send you that will explain in depth who we are and what the franchising process entails.
Franchisees will receive information from detailing our history as a franchisor and outlining our training program to advertising costs and other obligations you will have as the owner of one of our locally-sourced restaurants. The FDD contains detailed legal information and is essentially your one-stop shop for need-to-know information about our business and what you’re investing in.
You legally have a minimum of 14 days to review this document before you are allowed to sign any binding contracts or make any payments toward your franchise investment.
Step 6: Tour Corporate HQ and Meet Our Team
You’ve done your due diligence. You’ve signed the paperwork. You’ve had phone calls. Now it’s time to come to our corporate headquarters in beautiful Boston and meet our team face to face. That includes our leadership team as well as other franchisees in the company. You can ask questions, learn about what the day-to-day role of a franchisee looks like, and so much more that you can use down the line as you become a more seasoned fast-casual franchise owner.
Step 7: Sign Franchise Agreement and Start Spreading Your Roots
This is it. You’ve gone through the process of becoming a B.GOOD franchisee. You’ve learned from the people that have helped make our company as successful as it is. You’ve come to meet us at our corporate headquarters. And you have invested the time to truly know what it means to run one of our locally-sourced restaurants. Welcome to the team!
While this is a slimmed-down version of the whole franchising process, it is still is a blueprint for the key steps along the way that you will have to hit in order to run your own fast-casual franchise. The time it takes to hit these milestones will vary due to a variety of reasons, but once you have checked off all the boxes, you should be ready to hit the ground running as the owner of your own locally-sourced restaurant.
Now it is time for you to take the lead and start spreading your roots. While this may be what concludes the franchising process for you, it is only the start of the next adventure of your professional life.
